Light up Maidstone

6th Feb 2026 - 6th Feb 2026

Maidstone Town Centre

Join us on Friday 6th February 2026, 5.30–7:30pm in Maidstone Town Centre for a FREE evening of music, lights and entertainment, including a spectacular lantern parade through the town. Hundreds of schoolchildren and local community groups will carry their handmade lanterns from County Hall, along Week Street, to Jubilee Square, lighting up the town as they go. Light Up Maidstone also launches a town-wide Lantern Trail running throughout February and forms part of One Maidstone’s Month of Mental Wellbeing, featuring activities, workshops, events, and access to mental health and community support services. Brought to you by One Maidstone BID, supported by Maidstone Borough Council, with thanks to Golding Homes (event sponsor) and CEP (event partner). Follow us for the full programme and latest updates.

"I am writing just to express my gratitude to the one Maidstone team as since I have had the security radio installed into my store myself and my team feel so much safer during our opening times and they have responded to my calls of need and supported us dealing with challenging situations and retrieving stolen stock."

Shop Manager, Greggs

"We are very thankful for the support we received from the Ambassador Tema from shoplifting to ASB issues, they are always a stones throw away and will always deal with the situation in hand with so much professionalism. It’s clear to see how dedicated and passionate they are about there job roles within One Maidstone. The town would not be the same without them."

Shop Manager, Tesco Express

"Not only do they support promoting local businesses but they also provide great training and our Marketing team have personally been enriched by the social media training. In addition to this we cannot say how helpful their quarterly Marketing meetings have been in sharing information with our marketing community and supporting us to grow stronger links with other businesses so we all flourish."
