We repair electricals, bikes, general household items and small pieces of furniture, clothing, textiles, computers and toys. We also have a Climate Action Network Zone for exhibitors in Maidstone to show off their environment and climate ideas and solutions. Here you can see nature recovery projects, reuse ideas and groups working on environmental projects. We hope also to attract local companies delivering environmental solutions. Maidstone Repair Café started in January 2024 and the 5 repair cafes so far have prevented 600kg of waste and 5000kg of CO2 into the atmosphere. It is not always possible to repair everything, but it is usual to be successful with 65%. Everybody is welcome to attend the Maidstone Repair Café, all work is carried out by volunteers for free, but donations are gratefully received to cover the overheads of running the event. The onsite café is also available for teas, coffees and light snacks. The location has plenty of parking in the dedicated car park, is in a beautiful location by the river and is next to the Maidstone Market.
